What we earn money from

Some links on FeedCutter may become affiliate links over time. When they do, clicking a link marked [partner link] and making a purchase will earn FeedCutter a commission at no additional cost to you. Commissions are typically 20–40% of the first payment on subscription products, or a flat rate on one-time purchases.

Current status (updated May 27, 2026): FeedCutter has no active affiliate relationships. Every outbound install link currently points directly to the tool vendor with no tracking parameters. Affiliate applications are pending for the programs listed below — this section will be updated as each goes live.

Pending affiliate applications:

  • NordVPN — VPN (~40% recurring)
  • ExpressVPN — VPN ($13–36/conversion)
  • Surfshark — VPN (~40% recurring)
  • Proton VPN — VPN (affiliate pending)
  • FocusMe — distraction blocker
  • Serene — Mac focus app
  • Brain.fm — focus audio (~25–30% recurring)
  • 1Password — password manager (~25% recurring)
  • AdGuard — DNS ad blocker (~35%)
  • Brave Browser — browser (referral per install)

Already live (no affiliate): Freedom, Cold Turkey, Opal, One Sec, uBlock Origin, Unhook, and all free/open-source tools are included on editorial merit only, with no affiliate relationship.

How to identify affiliate links

Affiliate links are labelled [partner link] inline on the page where they appear. The label appears adjacent to the link, not hidden in footnotes.

Install buttons, "Get it free" CTAs, and links to tool homepages in tool profiles may be affiliate links where a program exists. These are individually labelled.

How this affects our recommendations

FeedCutter's tool rankings and recommendations are determined by our testing methodology, not by affiliate relationships. A tool without an affiliate program (Ultimate Reddit Filter, Unhook, uBlock Origin, SelfControl, LeechBlock) is recommended just as prominently as a tool with one — and in many cases more prominently, because free tools are the right answer for most use cases.

We do not adjust rankings, edit reviews, or add tools to the directory in exchange for payment. Sponsorships, when we accept them, will be labelled as Sponsored and kept editorially separate from rankings.

The extension waitlist and email list

FeedCutter collects email addresses via a waitlist for a forthcoming browser extension. These addresses are used only to notify waitlist members when the extension ships and to send the FeedCutter weekly email (one email per week: one use case, one tested tool, one preset). We do not sell or share email addresses. You can unsubscribe at any time.

Verification and accuracy

Every tool in the FeedCutter directory has a last_verified date. This reflects when a FeedCutter editor last confirmed that the tool's pricing, availability, and described features matched the live product. We re-verify tool profiles at minimum quarterly. If you find outdated information, email hello@feedcutter.xyz.

FTC compliance

This disclosure is provided in compliance with the US Federal Trade Commission's guidelines on endorsements and testimonials (16 CFR § 255). By using FeedCutter and clicking on clearly labelled partner links, you acknowledge that FeedCutter may receive compensation.
